Ajith's 'Arrambam' Overtakes 'Thalaivaa' and 'Singam 2'

Here is good news for Ajith fans. The theatrical rights of "Arrambam" for Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Ooty and Erode areas have been sold for a whopping undisclosed amount.<br/><br/>Cosmo Pictures has acquired the theatrical rights for these areas from "Arrambam" producer AM Rathnam. Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Arrambam - TN 1st area sale - Coimbatore sold by producer 2 leading distributor Cosmo Shiva, 4 a whopping amount."<br/><br/>This is the highest ever paid for a Ajith film till date. "Arrambam" price value has crossed the amount paid for the recent releases - Vijay's "Thalaivaa" and Suriya's "Singam 2." Only Rajinikanth's Endhrian ("Robot"), which was purchased for a record price in the aforementioned areas, is ahead of "Arrambam", Cosmo Pictures' Shiva told Behindwoods.<br/><br/>Directed by Vishnu Vardhan, "Arrambam" boasts of a multi-star cast including Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara,Taapsee Pannu and Rana Daggubati.<br/><br/>Expectations from the film have skyrocketed, thanks to Ajith's star power. Moreover, the combination of Ajith-Vishnu Vardhan is sought-after by the fans following the success of their 2007-release "Billa."<br/><br/>"Arrambam" is a fast-paced, action-drama film that will impress Ajith fans, according to the director. The shooting of the film is on the verge of completion and the unit will begin post-production work and the audio launch after the final shooting schedule. Yuvan Shankar Raja, whose 100th album "Biriyani" was launched recently, is working on the soundtrack of "Arrambam."<br/><br/>The trailer of the film is expected to be released along with the audio. Speculations are rife that the music launch might take place during the auspicious occasion of Vinayaga Chaturthi, on 9 September. There is no clear information on the film's release date as well.<br/><br/>"Arrambam" might hit the screens on Diwali, a festival that has proved lucky for Ajith as some of his past releases, including "Villain" and "Varalaru" turned into big hits. Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Aarambam’ starrer Ajith and Nayanthara in the lead role grows a hype of expectation about the film to Thala fans. I'm a big fan of Ajith - Vidharth

<p style="text-align: justify;">He’s currently on a career high with several films up his sleeve, and actor Vidharth is loving every moment of it. The trailer of his movie Aal, directed by Anand Krishna is out and his trendy look and stylish body language in the action thriller is drawing compliments. Another highlight of his career is sharing screen space with Thala Ajith in Siruthai Siva’s film, playing his brother. And Vidharth is on cloud nine, after the experience.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“I’m a big fan of Ajith,” he confesses to CE in a chat. “So, acting with him was a dream come true. But after the shoot, I have become proud of being his fan. I have never seen someone so humane and down-to-earth as him.” Vidharth goes on to relive the experience, “Whenever he met anyone, he would stand up and greet them.When it became too hot, he had fans installed in every room for the workers. Everyday he would knock on my caravan and enquire about my well being, food and comfort. A big star like him needn’t have done that! Even I have two assistants, but he has only one! Rain or sun, he wouldn’t use an umbrella but just put a shirt over his head and proceed. I have never seen any star doing such things and I got very emotional at the end of the shoot.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The one thing I have learnt from him is humility.” Looks like 2013 is going to be a good year for the Mynaa hero. He has a spate of films, with interesting roles. In Venmegham, directed by twins Ram-Lakshman, he plays a painter while in Jannal Oram, directed by Karun Palaniappan, he’s a watchman. In Ula, directed by Rajan Madhav, he plays a rowdy gang leader while in Meera Kadiravan’s Vizhithiru he’s a thief.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Director SP Rajkumar has the actor playing a bus driver in Pattaya Kalappanum Pandiya. Vidharth is happy the way things are going, despite the slow run rate post Mynaa.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“I never went searching for work. People chose me for my acting after Mynaa showcased my skills. So far, I have no regrets. Success or failure doesn’t affect me. But if someone says I’m not a good actor, that would be cause for concern and make me work harder. At the end of the day, doing justice to each character is my priority!” concludes Vidharth.</p>

Suza Kumar In Ajith's Next Flick :<br/><br/>Ajith Kumar's 54th movie, which is under production with the working title Vinayagam Brothers, is set to wrap up by the year end. It is a multi-starrer movie with Ajith, Tammana Bhatia, Santhanam Vidharth, Munish and Suhail in the lead roles. The latest buzz says, Suza Kumar of Ethir Neechal fame has been roped in to play Vidharth's love interest role in the movie. The pretty actress was seen early in this year's Ethir Neechal, starring Sivakarthikeyan.<br/><br/>Sources said, “Suza Kumar has accepted the role just because it is Ajith's film, she feels blessed to grab a chance in Thala's movie, and she is surprised by hearing the fact that she is actually got to meet Ajith.” The crew is working on their toes, and the movie is slated to release for January 2014 Pongal festival. Tamannah mobbed after shoot with Ajith

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was Friday mobbed by anti-Telangana activists here and was asked to comment on the separation of the state. However, the actress refused to oblige. "She was on her way to the sets of Ajith Kumar's upcoming Tamil film. Her car was stopped while she was heading towards Odisha from Vizag (Vishakhapatnam) by a group of anti-Telangana activists and was asked to chant slogan in favour of Andhra Pradesh," said a source from the film's unit.<br/><br/>"Her father told us about the incident. Apparently, neither did Tamannaah chant the slogan nor supported the division of the state. She told them that she treats everybody alike and didn't want to comment on the issue. They didn't cause any trouble and let her go when she refused to comment," he added.<br/><br/>On July 30, it was announced that Andhra Pradesh would be divided to carve out a separate Telangana state. Tamannaah, who is known for her Telugu films such Ayan, Paiyaa and Siruthai, was last seen in 'Venghai' opposite Dhanush in Tamil. She will soon be seen in Ajith's untitled flick with director Siva.

Ajith's plan for 2014

<p style="text-align: justify;">With Vishnuvardhan's 'Arrambam' shooting wrapped and Siruthai Siva's flick announced to hit the screens for Pongal 2014, Thala Ajith would soon be wrapping up the shoot for Siva's untitled film. While the fans would be eager to know about Ajith's future projects, the star actor has decided to take a break. Owing to his leg and back injuries, Ajith has decided to take a break for the next one year.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The star is currently undergoing physiotherapy for his injuries and will undergo a surgery probably in mid October this year. He will have to recuperate for at least four months after that. Any new project will be decided upon only after that.
